Compose Yourself With Music Therapy
Effective November 2025: If you need mental health support and have been affected by the US government shutdown, your first 3 virtual music therapy sessions are covered. Request your consultation and mention this announcement!

Hi! I'm Brit (she/her). I'm a board certified music therapist located in Round Rock, TX. I became a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) in July 2019. Since then, I have trained in Neurologic Music Therapy and other modalities for wellness. I am also a Dialectical Behavior Therapy-Informed Music Therapist (DBT). DBT addresses emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. My expertise includes wellness for voice professionals and people that experience anxiety and depression, speech recovery for stroke survivors, and trauma-informed care for all populations.
If you'd like to explore music therapy to address symptoms related to PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, or depression, you've come to the right place. As a trained singer, I am confident I can help people have a healthy voice they love to use.

What is Music Therapy?

What is music therapy?
"Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program."
-American Music Therapy Association

The therapeutic relationship is a top priority. Working with a board certified music therapist ensures safety, guidance about physiological and cognitive processes, and the access to the latest research and recommendations. Cognitive, physical, social, and emotional can all be addressed in music therapy. Goals that require expertise from outside fields will be addressed as a referral and/or co-treat to ensure quality of services.

Who can benefit from music therapy? Do I have to be good at singing or playing instruments?
