They are voting on policies that will take away funding from Medicaid health care and services—services that people with disabilities rely on. If Medicaid is cut, millions of lives will be deeply impacted.

People wait for YEARS to receive critical therapy services. The wait-list for the CLASS Medicaid waiver is around 20 years long. Families must know to put their disabled individual on the waiting list, but there is little help available to navigate this process. Furthermore, people can lose Medicaid coverage fairly easily due to the lack of autorenewal in Texas. This is an issue brought up in the last legislative session that was denied by conservative lawmakers.
